US President Donald Trump is considering quarantining New York to prevent the spread of coronavirus. For people, this would mean, among other things, travel restrictions. The state of New York is the most affected by the coronavirus epidemic in the US. The number of people infected there exceeded 52,000 on Saturday.
In response to Trump’s words, Governor Andrew Cuomo stated that “he had not spoken to him of any quarantine.” “I don’t even know what that would mean,” he added.
According to Trump, this should be an “enforceable quarantine” that limits travel because New Yorkers go to Florida and “we don’t want to.” As the President added, he would rather not take this step, but “probably it will be needed”.
I am giving consideration to a QUARANTINE of developing “hot spots”, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. A decision will be made, one way or another, shortly.

In addition to New York, quarantine could be declared in “New Jersey and certain parts of Connecticut,” Trump added.
According to CNN, at least 111,115 people have been infected with coronavirus throughout the United States. 1842 patients died of COVID-19.
